Pangoro and More New Localized Pokemon XY Names

pangoro-ken-sugimori-artThe localizations of the recent CoroCoro information is now available. The new Pokemon names are Pangoro, Inkay, Malimar, Swirlix, and Spritzee. The Professor of the Kalos region is named Sycamore and the evil team is named Team Flare. CoroCoro Leaks 5 New Pokemon, Professor, and Team in XY

shushupJapan’s CoroCoro magazine has leaked five more Pokemon, two gym leaders, the Kalos professor, and the evil team from Pokemon X and Y. All of the information can be found in the full story, but here’s the quick summary. The professor, roughly translated to Professor Sycamore, actually battles you in the game. Two new gym leaders were introduced, one wears a robotic back pack with extending arms and the other is very athletic. The evil team is named Team Flair/Flare and seeks to make as much money as possible.

Honedge – The Sword Pokemon

honedge-sword-pokemonA new sword Pokemon was revealed at the Japan Expo, a French convention that celebrates Japanese culture. Its name is Honedge in English, Hitotsuki in Japanese, and Monorpale in French.

Honedge is a Ghost/Steel type. This means it will have immunity to Normal, Fighting, and Poison attacks. The Pokemon can unsheathe itself in battle to attack. An ancient soul is said to reside in the sword.

Two Special Edition Pokemon XY 3DS Systems

special-edition-gold-xy-3dsIt seems one special edition Pokemon 3DS just isn’t enough. Joining the Pikachu 3DS are two new Pokemon-themed 3DS systems. The two new handhelds will launch alongside Pokemon X and Y in Japan in October. Both will be bundled with a 4GB SD card and sold for 22,800 yen, roughly $228.
