Dragon Vault Banned From Regionals
by Poke-Amph on September 30, 2012

The Pokemon Regionals information page says Dragon Vault will not be legal for play at Autumn Regionals on October 13th. The mini-set will be released across North America throughout the month of October, so it would be an unfair advantage to allow them to be played when everyone doesn’t have access to the cards. However, any Dragon Vault cards that are reprinted from previous sets like Rayquaza, EXP. Share, and Super Rod will be playable.

Boundaries Crossed Charizard and Blastoise Scans
by Poke-Amph on September 26, 2012

Card scans of Charizard and Blastoise from Boundaries Crossed have leaked. Charizard’s Split Bomb deals 40 damage to two of your opponent’s benched Pokemon, and Scorching Fire does 150 damage at the cost of discarding one Fire Energy. Scorching Fire needs a total of five energy, so it probably won’t see a lot of play.

Blastoise from Boundaries Crossed is similar to the original Blastoise from the Basic set. It brings back a lot of memories for me. Deluge allows you to pile on Water Energy to any of your Pokemon. Hydro Pump has a base damage of 60 with 10 more damage done for each Water Energy attached to Blastoise.

Boundaries Crossed releases in America on November 7th.
