Pokemon Black and White 2 Fall Release Date for America

The official Pokemon YouTube channel has uploaded a new video announcing the American release date for Pokemon Black and White 2. It will be released in America in the fall of 2012. This is not too far behind the June release for Japan. The video is very uneventful other than the release date information, but you can watch it in the full story.

PokePark 2 Available Now

Today marks the American release of PokePark 2: Wonders Beyond. I’ll be updating the PokePark 2 section with both written and video walkthroughs as soon as I pick up my copy tomorrow.

PokePark 2: Wonders Beyond is the sequel to 2010’s PokePark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure. This time around you can control not only Pikachu, but also Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott.

More Pokemon Added to Kyurem Movie

Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 Announcement

The latest Pokemon games were announced on Pokemon Smash today: Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2. Each game gets its own sequel which is a slight change from the typical “third game” formula that has been followed since Pokemon Yellow. The mascot of each game is going to be a new form of Kyurem. The two new Kyurem forms are a melding of Zekrom/Kyurem and Reshiram/Kyurem. The two games are set to be released in Japan in June.

Dark Explorers Release Date

Dark Explorers is the name of the next American TCG set. It will be released on May 9th. It’s based on the Japanese Dark Rush set. The set’s information sheet says it will introduce six new EX cards including Darkrai EX, Tornadus EX, Raikou EX, and Groudon EX.

3DS Has Sold 5 Million Units In First Year

According to Andriasang, the 3DS has sold 5 millions units since its debut in February 2011. In fact, it has outsold both the DS and GBA in each of their first years. This is no doubt because of the price drop that took place in August. What does this mean for Pokemon? A solid future.

Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition Figures and Other Merchandise

Pokemon.co.jp has revealed new merchandise based on Pokemon + Nobunaga’s Ambition that will be on sale in Japanese Pokemon Centers starting March 17th. This includes figures, handkerchiefs, post cards, and pillows. The figures are about six inches tall and feature Nobunaga and Zekrom or Mitsuhide and Articuno.

Act now if this is is something you’re interested in considering the game hasn’t been confirmed for release outside of Japan.

Shiny Larvitar Giveaway at European Nationals

A special shiny Larvitar will be available for download at European Pokemon National Championship events. It will know the move Superpower, which Larvitar can usually only learn in Heart Gold and Soul Silver through a Move Tutor, and will hold a Chople Berry.
