Nintendo’s E3 presentation showed a quick glimpse of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in action for the first time. Here’s a gallery of every notable screenshot from the video. Included are shots of Fortree City, Route 104, Rustboro City Gym, Peeko the Wingull with Mr. Briney’s ship, and much more.
What initially appeared to be Mega Evolutions of Groudon and Kyogre are actually Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. They achieve this form through Primal Reversion, where they reclaim their original power from nature to become stronger. It seems Primal Reversion and Mega Evolution are potentially linked, but more information is currently unknown.
Blaziken is no longer the only Hoenn starter with a Mega Evolution. The Japanese magazine CoroCoro revealed Mega Sceptile and Mega Swampert today. Both will be available in the upcoming Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire in October.
The Black 2 and White 2 Super Music Collection has launched on iTunes for $9.99. The music collection is the soundtrack to Black 2 and White 2, featuring 173 digitally remastered tracks. They range from full-fledged songs like the Aspertia City theme to quick sound bytes.
It’s finally real. The Pokemon Company has announced the long-awaited remakes of Ruby and Sapphire. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released in stores November 2014.

The latest video on the Pokemon YouTube channel revealed two things. First, it officially unveiled the latest legendary Pokemon, Diancie. Secondly, it reminded me that the background music used in these videos has pierced my soul and I’ll never be able to forget it.
Diancie is a Rock/Fairy type that has a relationship to Carbink, although specifics aren’t known at this time. Carbink are said to gather around Diancie, although it doesn’t pay much attention to them.
Pokemon X and Y have been officially released worldwide, so work on the Pokemon X and Y Walkthrough and Pokedex have begun. If you’re stuck in Pokemon X or Y, the walkthrough can help you plan your battle strategy against trainers, help you find all the items scattered around Kalos, and more. Because the games have just released, the walkthrough and Pokedex are both changing every minute.
The evolutions of Swirlix and Spritzee now have English names, Slurpuff and Aromatisse. The two are smoewhat connected because Aromatisse can change its scent, while Slurpuff has a very powerful sense of smell.
The cries have been answered. There is finally a Dragon-type Charizard. Mega evolving your Charizard with Charizardite X will change it to the Fire and Dragon-type Mega Charizard X. It gains Attack power and the Tough Claws ability, which increases the damage of moves that make direct contact. It can also learn Dragon Tail.
The evolutions of Swirlix and Spritzee have been included in a Japanese pamphlet. Swirlix evolves into Peroriimu, who resembles an ice cream sundae. Spritzee evolves into Furefuran. Things are really starting to heat up with the release of Pokemon X and Y approaching on October 12th. Stay tuned for all the latest Pokemon news.
UPDATE: Nintendo doesn’t want leaked information of Pokemon X and Y to appear online until the games release. In respect for their wishes, I’ve taken down the leaked information. In the mean time, keep up to date in the Pokemon X and Y section.
The only thing better than one sword? Two swords! Doublade is the evolution of Honedge. During the evolution, the blue tail changes to pink and purple. Doublade’s two swords talk to each other through telepathy.
Doublade can learn Sacred Sword, a Fighting-type attack that not many Pokemon can use. It also has the No Guard ability, which makes all attacks hit 100% of the time.
Amaura and Tyrunt were only revealed a few days ago, but we already have information on their evolutions. The fossil Pokemon evolve into Aurorus and Tyrantrum, respectively. These are their fully evolved forms that can be achieved after resurrecting them in Pokemon X and Y.
The new Pokemon Global Link will launch on October 12th alongside Pokemon X and Y. It won’t have all of the new features from the start, but they will be implemented throughout the remaining month. The current version of the website will go down for maintenance on October 1st.
Trainer PR videos are a new feature in Pokemon X and Y. They allow players to create a short video that can be shown to other trainers over the Player Search System.
These 10-second videos can include your character and Pokemon striking poses from different camera angles. You can use preset styles or choose every pose, expression, and camera angle yourself.
